HUI FEST 2025 x APETAHI

We are proud to announce our official partnership with Apetahi

A Nonprofit organization rooted in love, legacy, and cultural artistry.

First-of-Its-Kind Partnership- Founded by the cherish and mentor of the Hui Family, Yve Young, Apetahi represents decades of devotion to the 'Ori Tahiti community. "Auntie Yve", her journey began in the 1990s as a student of Tahitian dance in the Bay Area. Over the past 30+ years, she’s blossomed into a visionary costume designer, cultural advocate, and nurturing force for generations of dancers. Her handcrafted creations don’t just dress performers—they reveal their spirit, personality, and passion. Auntie Yve’s eye for beauty and her unwavering support continue to uplift our community, one stitch and one soul at a time.

Together, Hui Tarava and Apetahi are blooming into a new chapter, celebrating heritage, empowering artists, and honoring the rhythm of our roots.

All proceeds directly support this vibrant flagship community festival celebrating Tahitian and Polynesian art and culture.  Your generous gift helps ensure this festival is possible by funding cost of venue and all production expenses.   Proceeds also fund expenses for hosting Tahitian cultural experts and troupes to come and provide educational cultural exchange experiences.
