Acerca de

Hui Fest is a vibrant celebration of Polynesian culture, born from a desire to unite rather than compete. Founded in 2022, it began as a way to bring together Pupu Ori — Tahitian dance groups from across the Bay Area — in a joyful, non-competitive space where artistry, tradition, and community could shine.
That very first year, Hui Fest welcomed the legendary Temaeva, one of Tahiti’s most influential dance troupes, whose legacy continues to inspire the festival’s spirit. Since then, Hui Fest has grown into an annual tradition, drawing dancers, musicians, artisans, and audiences to share in the living heartbeat of the islands.
From the deep rhythm of the pahu drum to the graceful sway of dancers in colorful pareu, from the taste of island-inspired cuisine to the beauty of handcrafted treasures, Hui Fest is more than an event — it’s a hui, a gathering, where culture thrives, friendships flourish, and everyone leaves with their heart a little fuller.
